The Observer received on the 13th of March 2024 an update from the Laveau Sheriff Department (‘LSD’) on their investigation to the string of cult murders that have permeated the local area, especially around the ‘Wedding Bells’ Church.

As readers will be aware it was only on the 9th of March when the partial corpse of a victim was found near Wedding Bells, the latest in a long line of grisly murders that the LSD is tying to potential cult activity in Laveau. While this newspaper continues to keep an open mind (people being framed, other gangs pretending to be cults, etc) it does seem clear from recent events that the LSD has been given a lucky boon through the near apprehension and, at the end, suicide of at least two individuals connected to the cult.

After speaking with Detective Derryth and reviewing photographs provided we are carrying this statement of events that led to two female cultists committing some form of ritualistic suicide according to LSD.

Statement from LSD

“We received a tipoff that there was a cultist murder planned. Deputy Caellum and myself laid in wait and we eventually observed two white females dragging a third white female towards the graveyard near the church.

We waited until they had taken her to the location before announcing ourselves. The female captive fled the scene as we made our challenge but the two suspects were extremely violent to the point of being frenzied. We were forced to back off and instead follow as they fled.

We previously indicated that there were aspects of the investigation that we could not make public via the Observer previously. We can now reveal some of those details:

Firstly, as we communicated at least two females are involved in the cult and our previous investigations of the murder sites have shown two sets of female prints and one male set.

Further, and previously undisclosed, at a previous murder, a coffee cup had been found nearby with prints and saliva DNA samples. We were eventually able to access a database and cross-check these where we found that we had matches with the suspects after their deaths.

When we searched the two suspects we recovered a sharp knife which is in keeping with the type used in the previous murders and we also knew that some of the victims had been transported via car from Hathian and the surrounding area. After the conclusion of this incident we found a car nearby with the prints of one of the suspects all over it and also, inside another coffee cup matching the type and brand found in the bushes near the last murder scene. The keys to the car were on their person.

The two female took their own lives rather than be captured as we closed in on their location. The remaining cult members need to look to themselves. The noose is closing, gallows humour intended… The cracks are showing… It’s just a matter of time now until we have them all!

We know there are more cultists still at large. Let this serve as an example to them.

Information Required

The Observer is not used to gang members taking their own lives, rather than go out in a blaze of glory when facing HPD, but the insidious nature of cults including brainwashing and possible drugs used to create a frenzy or altered emotional states may well have induced this suicide rather than allow themselves to be captured.

Obviously it is the hope of law abiding citizens that the murders in Laveau will cease, or at they very least slow down. If you have information on this article or the wider cult murders, contact our office or if you wish the LSD directly.
