Hey my dear readers, there has definitely been a delay with these Month in Reviews… in March we had a server issue that deleted our article for February so we had to do it again and then the same issue happened for our March article! So here we go, you lucky readers you, another attempt at the March 2025 ‘Month in Review’.

If you didn’t know we do a monthly series, February is HERE and we did a wrap-up of 2024 (which you can read HERE if you didn’t read it at the time). Well, what can Hathian do in just one month to make the news? Well, as always plenty as it happens.

Our IT issues in March meant that our content was a little down compared to February. We wrote around 20 main articles and I am again pleased to report as well that there were no journalists injured in the ‘line of duty’ give or take. Well, at least no one has written to me asking for an insurance disbursement above the deductible.

Anyway… ‘Get on with it’ right?

So here are your Editor’s top three for this month…

Another Wedding for the Tank

For those of you who don’t know (who?) Simon is the current Administrator of the Hathian General Hospital (‘HGH’). Della, a sometimes everything (at least to this editor) has probably been a Hopper, a Police Officer, probably an HGH member of staff and more. She certainly has tried her hand at different things, but now she has given her hand away in marriage to Simon (of the Maja-Bucket) fame.

Simon has in fact always been a friend to the Observer, having helped us out on a number of things while we have always had sympathy with the place where so many end for treatment, even if they have been awful to Simon’s Staff.

Therefore we are very pleased to see him finding someone to settle down with and hope that the happy couple have many years ahead of them to enjoy a life together.

We Can’t Have a Month Without Charlie

Yep, another month, another article about why it’s important to treat Charlie with the respect a man rivalling Carter for his love of metal tools deserves. My colleague Aithne found out by observing that it takes a fair few to bring Charlie down… one of those things that brings him down however? A literal drop. From a cliff face. Ouch.

With Charlie now seen around the Clam again in April and May it is a good thing he recovered, because as a fixture (like his car) we need him around the town to put somethings in perspective. What perspective you ask dear reader? Why the one that says ‘it could always be worse if Charlie shows up with a chainsaw!’

Mardi Gras

It wouldn’t be a year in Hathian without Mardi Gras and in finest tradition my colleague Aithne was there to record the bare skin, smiles and all the other things that go on, when Hathain descends to a beach with plenty of alcohol. Cosplay? Check. Cocks? Check. It was that kinda event! Well done to the organisers for hosting!

Well dear reader, that about concludes the news round-up for March. As always, catch a reporter in CU, Hathian or Backwaters (we visit as required!) to give us your stories, tips or other information! You can find our profiles here and they have been updated recently! Woo!

Please see this link for a chance to join the Observer, get some coaching from me (I make a mean coffee) and perhaps start your journalism career, or even more!

((Promotion of the Observer and CD happens off-sim as well, so if you can help out feel free to link to your other SL friends. Spread the word, the active stories and see if we can’t generate new role-players or encourage others to return!))
