The polls have closed. The votes have been cast. And once again, the people have spoken. After a final tally of all eligible votes, the next Mayor of Hathian is Mr. Nickolas Matfield! Gathering 38% of the vote, he has edged out fellow candidates Bob Bond (20%) and Jeremiah Finch (22%) for the position. Azreal Venom, Sira Ember, Ryeowook Hwang, & Valentina Fernandoz also received a fair amount of votes, but too were unable to beat Matfield’s aggressive campaigning.
For City Council, two seats are open, one from a previously elected official who vacated the position, and another that opened by thanks after last year’s census. Of the three candidates, Alexandra Markus and Kian Traviss have been elected to join Perina McGinnis and Zipporah Caverly! This too was a hard fought campaign, with Manny Core trailing the other two by only a handful of votes!
After an induction ceremony to be held next week, Matfield, Markus, and Traviss can expect to begin immediately working on the various promises made throughout the last week. Good luck, and congratulations!
