On the 18th October 2026, several locals were seen gathering outside the convenience store, blasting Linkin Park from a stereo and dancing around in some interesting dinosaur costumes ranging from an inflatable to what looked like a homemade cardboard cutout. A few others wore bright green outfits and one memorable Unicorn. When asked about the spontaneous dance party, one participant explained that the group was celebrating Halloween early, while another described the gathering as one of their “calmer” family activities.

During the encounter, the atmosphere seemed to be largely playful and energetic, despite the machetes being waved around with one individual, who introduced himself as Richard Grieco, stated that the weapons were only there in case anyone annoyed the group, specifically mentioning police officers and others who spoke out of turn. At that moment, it was unclear whether these remarks were meant seriously or as part of the group’s Halloween performance. No physical altercations were witnessed during the early Halloween celebration.

Any attempts to speak with dancing dinosaurs produced varied responses, from enthusiastic dinosaur impressions to some rather unusual introductions. One woman identified herself as Sunshine and jokingly suggested that speaking to journalists could result in newspaper headlines linking the group to thirteen unsolved crimes. Another participant introduced herself as the “Angel of Death,” accompanying the introduction with a wave of her machete. Throughout the impromptu interview, there were several conversations amongst the group which included references to collecting souls, valuables and toes, although no explanation was offered regarding the meaning behind these remarks.

Despite the general merriment, not everyone welcomed the attention from this journalist. While a majority of participants appeared happy to be photographed and spoken to, a handful of others declined to answer questions and even expressed frustration with the interview. The gathering nevertheless continued, with participants dancing to music from Linkin Park and later Falling in Reverse.

A local by the name of Bri was also present amongst the dancing group who previously introduced a possum named Gerald, who, according to her, contained a human soul trapped inside the animal’s body. She also described her supposed ability to perform similar procedures, quoting prices between $2,500 and $10,000. These claims have not been independently verified. Bri, who was wearing a homemade cardboard dinosaur costume, declined to discuss her activities further before she went inside the Clam.

As mentioned previously, several participants spoke about souls, death and collecting unusual items. It remains unclear if these comments reflect an interest in occult practices, shared jokes or simply was simply some Halloween-themed banter. There is currently no evidence connecting the gathering to any organised occult activity, and unfortunately no such activities were witnessed during the encounter.

The impromptu Dinosaur themed dance party provided an entertaining look at the informal social activities taking place around Hathian, despite the inclusion of some sharp and deadly looking blades. The party goers seemed to know one another well, referring to each other as family and sharing jokes throughout the afternoon. There didn’t seem to involve any formal programme or public announcement, with those questioned describing it simply as an early Halloween celebration.

It remains unknown whether further dinosaur-themed celebrations are planned in the lead-up to Halloween. For now, the gathering outside the Clam offered an unusual start to the season, combining music, costumes and some distinctly unconventional Halloween humour.simply Halloween-themed entertainment remains unclear.
