While the Observer didn’t manage to attend the party itself and therefore noting this article is a little old (covering an event on the 16th March 2025) we did think that our photographs that I snapped from a distance (Charlie is still an unknown as to whether he wants to chainsaw a journalist or not – so treating with care…) were nice to have.
In the lead image above you can see cause and effect. On the left of our leader, the bouncer. On the right the two about to be sent into the stratosphere due to Newton’s Third Law.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction…

Smoking Yourself
Now in Hathian this might refer to suicide. But it can also refer to Charlie and others lighting up the fattest joint they can and going to smoke. In our images below, a relaxed pair of ‘DJ’s watch as Charlie lights a spliff so large, a wide angle lens can’t get him and Em into the same angle. Meanwhile in the background, Blast Off is about to occur.
And let’s say a Hathian Special ‘Greeting’ to the chap who decided to wear an entire carboard joint costume. Near fire. It’s people like this who keep the FDH employed!
