I am writing this from my hospital bed after the outcome, which I have yet to bring myself to write, regarding what went down when HPD tried to rescue Krystal. While that is hard to write, this story is much less so.

The couple in the CCTV image above are being searched for by the Hathian Museum & Galleries in regards to the destruction of one of the Museum’s artwork.

While I believe I may have recognised the man in the image, perhaps even from a previous article and will be reaching out to his employer. If though, anyone is able to identify the couple and let me know so my employers can approach them for a settlement with the artist who has lost their work that would be much appreciated… Of course, if those in the image recognise themselves they may wish to reach out directly.

There is a $500 reward.

The actual damage occurred because it appeared that the ‘gentleman’ and his ‘partner’ were replicating the artwork pictured in the case below, i.e. attempting challenging sex positions… in public… while clothed… During their coitus the man managed to knock the statue that is titled ‘Carved’ (See in the foreground).

Museum Reference Card: ‘Carved’

How are we perceived? Gruntag Schwartz, a resident of nearby New Orleans created this piece in the middle of one of what he describes as his regular “cycles”. While the artwork demonstrates a body shape change, Gruntag talks to drugs, alcohol, sex and food as things that can cloak our true self, that manipulate the way we are perceived (or even perceive ourself).

With many hedonistic pursuits leading to problems, Gruntag candidly admits he spends more time than he’d like going sober, clean or swearing away from other vices so that he can be seen as he would like to be.
How many of us wear clothes that don’t represent who we are, that perhaps conceal or bury or mask the way we should be, or how we are truly feeling? What do you hide inside?

CCTV captured the couple fleeing after finding their satisfaction and while museum security promptly attempted to intercept them, they managed to escape in the confusion. The Directors of the museum have provided the following comment:

“The provision of much of our artwork without ropes, barriers or cases is an important part of the museum. Getting up and close to the artwork is encouraged, but we would prefer that doesn’t including smashing, of either variety”
