I hadn’t planned anything special for Sunday. Just to relax and visit Spankys in the evening and meet up with friends, but while I was still in my house, I heard a commercial on the radio that totally caught my attention (and they say that advertising is dead!).
The message landed and it motivated me to get out early and see what ‘Our Lady’ was all about. I took a taxi to the place from the commercial area and if you continue reading, you will see what I found…
Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Yes, that’s the name of anew church in Hathian. After months, this is the first positive thing I can write about in Hathian. Really positive, because it could help the whole community and that’s as rare as hen’s teeth here.
I arrived at the Church and was warmly welcomed by Delphine and David who run the site. They were friendly and told me about their plans and how they wanted to help the community.

Personally, I’m an Evangelist, after my father. But best of all, they are open to all churches as they told me, so while being Christian is kinda a precursor, you can be Baptist, an Evangelist, perhaps even Catholic!
They are planning these services for the community and much more if they can find funding for them. Their ideas include:
- Literacy Classes;
- Charity Auctions;
- Dance Instruction;
- Religious Services and;
- Much more…
More About the Church
I spent some time there and enjoyed their hospitality. We discussed some religious and non-religious topics and I felt good about the information I received.
After our conversation I entered the church and again I can say that it is a great place. If you are a believer or just thinking about visiting God’s house, do it. Do it for yourself and your friends and for the community.
Conclusion
I can recommend visiting the Church of OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP and if possible ask that you help them with funding for their activities. You may not even believe in God and yet still become part of the community through just being good in Hathian, which is really important.
After all that has happened recently, this is good news! Did you know there are Satanists in Laveau? Terrible. Join the Church. Of course it’s still Hathian, so be very careful, trust but verify.
