Some people’s star continues to rise higher through the heavens.

Co-owner of Grand Street Massacre’s Flamin’ Cajun restaurant as well as Flamin’ Cajun’s wholesale retail warehouse and farm, Denise Russo and her silent partner have gone on to expand their business by acquiring a Motel, not to mention a bar located on the premises of their new enterprise.

The Motel is located in Devil’s Pocket and has three units for short and long-term stays.

Ms. Russo spoke to the Observer about her and her new partner’s new acquisition.

“The Motel Dyab was built using Hathian City’s own construction company. A shout out to construction employee Nate Ferrer for being so efficient and hard working in undertaking the construction with his team, under the city contractor. The bar existed previously but needed some work done on the interior and we were pleased with Mr. Ferrer’s workmanship. I and my partner are looking forward to opening up the Motel Dyab this Friday the 12th of July! If you or anyone you know, needs a place to stay at affordable rates, then please do check us out. We offer modest, comfortable and clean lodgings. The bar is a good, local hangout for not just the tenants but anyone and everyone in the area. So, come on down an’ have a look!”

The name of the Motel is loosely translated as devil in Creole. When asked about the name of the motel, Ms. Russo elaborated further.

We are proud to rep the Creole roots to the place and Devil’s Pocket or Poch Dyab La as it’s known in Creole, is just a connection to the area and city at large. I and my business partner are proud owners of Flamin’ Cajun restaurant and farms and aim to celebrate the city’s heritage every which way we can, whether through local cuisine and produce or in our new endeavor, our motel. Flubber Beers is the name of our bar and you can easily spy it not too far from our Flamin’ Cajun Wholesale Retail Warehouse and allotment, not too far from Columtreal University.”

The motel rooms themselves are spacious and each have their own bathroom.

Asked about what else may be in store for the co-owners in the future, Ms. Russo remained ambiguous.

“I think there’s a number of ideas my partner and myself are interested in, but we will hope to grow our success where and when we can. Things are looking up for now but we are risk-takers and have used a lot of debt to get where we are! Watch this space!”

((OOC: Each room allow for 100 prims, unfurnished, for 500 lindens per week.))

The bar attached next to the motel units. Easy to get a drink there, or to take back to your room.

Taxi available here.
