A second bombing in under 48 hours has rocked the waterfront city of Laveau, leaving another two people dead and the rest of the city suffering from a blackout.
Residents noticed another pillar of smoke, this time coming from the power station, shortly after 1pm on January 13th. Approximately 10 minutes later a large explosion followed, knocking out power to the entire area and leaving the city in the dark.
Due to the large scale of the disaster, the Fire Department of Hathian responded via helicopter and was met on the ground by their counterparts from the Fire Department of Laveau. They worked in tandem to put out the enormous blaze in what was considered a very structurally damaged building.
While rescue services battled the blaze, the Laveau Sheriff Department attempted to apprehend four individuals that are suspected to have started the fire only to be met with gunfire before they fled. No one was injured from the shooting, but one deputy was sent to the Laveau Clinic after being struck with shrapnel.
FDH Goes Airborne
The Observer was incredibly lucky to be able to accompany the FDH in their rescue helicopter. Out of all the services in Hathian, it is our view that FDH under Chief Dale are most likely to polish, primp and most importantly maintain their equipment (just see our recent story on HGH’s legionnaires’ disease outbreak).
Therefore as our editor gathered with FDH responders alongside Lt. Blackheart the pilot there was a sense of giddiness that the news was actually going airborne! While we have drones in the Observer’s arsenal, a helicopter we do not. Cue the music.
Rescue services are reporting that there are another two fatalities as a result of this bombing, bringing the total death count to six between these two incidents (You can read our report on the Asylum bombing here).
The LSD is reporting that the same individuals that attacked the mental health facility are also responsible for this incident and also revealed that the main culprits behind these attacks appear to be from the notorious Rejects gang. They believe that there are likely to be more attacks in the future, and caution residents to be vigilant and report anything suspicious.
Identifying Domestic Terrorists & Rejects
The notorious domestic terrorist Tori, alongside two potential Reject members who this newspaper believes are well known to the police (but we are not naming so as to avoid the ‘rep’ that goes with being associated with Tori) were photographed in their battle with the LSD and while the terrorist and her accomplices retreated, it is obvious they will strike again unless stopped. HPD’s catch and release policy coming back to bite Laveau in this case.
