A large explosion and fire rocked the sleepy bayou town of Laveau on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of four innocent people.

An orderly at Laveau’s mental health facility was able to capture five unidentified individuals via cell phone footage entering the grounds with a fuel truck shortly before the explosion occurred.

Police and rescue services arrived at the scene as the fire started to overtake all three stories of the building. They report that the fuel truck was backed into the front door of the building, and that there is evidence of explosive material being used as an ignition source. They also report that there were a total of four fatalities; three employees and one patient. Their identities are being withheld for privacy.

While the suspects from the footage could not be identified, the video does offer some hints as to who these individuals are. Suspect one appears to be a short female with pink hair. Suspect two appears to be a male with light hair, notably also wearing what appears to be an armband. Suspect three is a short individual with red hair who can be seen holding a cane of some sort. Suspects four and five appear to be females with short, dark hair.

This still from the cell phone video shows the clearest view of the suspects.

The director of the facility could not be reached for comment before publication.

The Laveau Sheriff Department is now investigating the incident as arson and possibly domestic terrorism, and asks that anyone with knowledge of the individuals in the footage report it immediately.
