The Observer received the following message from a person or group claiming to have issued a warning to Hathian PD to curb the activities of Yuugen, the Rejects and any others involved with the bombings in Laveau. While we considered carefully the merits of carrying yet more escalation in this so called ‘war’, we ultimately decided to carry it so that law enforcement and others can be made aware of simmering anger, threats and a claim that the outbreak at HGH is somehow not a natural disaster but manmade.
Statement From an Unknown Actor
“The gangs from Hathian that attacked Port Laveau have indulged in a reign of terror for to long. Their attack on an asylum in Port Laveau was a line that should not have been crossed. The weak and the innocent died. A second attack on the power supply of Port Laveau then required our direct response.”
“As a result of their actions, the weak and the infirm at HGH have now suffered sickness and death. This is a regrettable consequence of the actions of the gangs in question.”
From the letter received at the Observer
“Should the authorities not curb the actions of these gangs, the next message will be more widespread and far more lethal.
Coleridge summed it up – ‘best like one, that on a lonesome road doth walk in fear and dread, and having once turned round walks on, and turns no more his head; because he knows, a frightful fiend doth close behind him tread‘.

Observer Thoughts
We have a few thoughts about this message… some of which are a sad reflection on our Hathian society:
- Hospital ‘Attack’ – if somehow the outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease at HGH is somehow manmade then while our security and other general questions stand for HGH management the question really becomes ‘so what’? For all the lawlessness of the Backwaters it is rather surprising (and perhaps shows poor research) that an attack on a Hospital, even using some kind of biological vector, would somehow shock the gangs in Hathian to stop? Afterall it was Tori who attacked HGH last and I somehow doubt the ‘weak and infirm’ are in her, or the Rejects’ sympathy books. If this was to force HPD’s hand somehow, then there are again perhaps better ways, although I guess embarrassing them with an ‘attack’ on Hathian soil might work? I don’t really know, it might just mean that HPD and FDH and others don’t bother to come help Laveau again?
- Anonymous Groups – Scarlett Hand, The Handymen, The Cleaners… they appear and then in most cases disappear like chafe in the breeze after harvest. With no name and at present no proof of their claimed attack, might this just not be hot air blowing from the fetid swamps in Laveau?
The Observer will keep all of this under review, although at the present time the sad news that deaths in HGH have increased to circa 7 or 8 as a result of this outbreak should likely be the main focus. Remember if you show symptoms listed in our earlier article, get checked out and get onto antibiotics.
