Currently there is an arson investigation going on with no word yet as to the cause of the fire, though some staff have stated that it was accidental, due to a faulty or frayed wire. “We were upstairs getting the kitchen ready for inspection when the stove just went up in flames,” says the former manager of the The Black Lotus, “..we were all lucky no one was harmed. We hope to be re-open soon, but as far as we can tell that is not likely.”
So this may be the last we see of The Black Lotus. Though there are some rumours to something deeper that was going on behind the facade of the chinese shop – whether or not that is true or not now, will remain a mystery.
