My colleague Rose Wild, a steady and dependable reporter for the Hathian Observer was found dead outside the Blues Bar in Hathian from a suspected Drug Overdose. Hathian Police (‘HPD’) have confirmed that as far as they can tell no foul play occurred with the reporter’s phone and belongings not taken and no sign of physical violence on the body. These findings have been confirmed by the local coroner as well.

It is not known where Rose acquired the drugs that ended her life, but it was clear that this was not her intent as marks by her phone in what appears to be an apparent attempt to call for help indicate her state of mind wasn’t unbalanced.

The fact that the body was not discovered for a number of hours, despite being near a venue used for parties and general drinking is surprising and a sad reflection on probably a few citizens who walked past without caring.

Rose, known for her articles including of the ‘Scooby Gang‘ had investigated a number of things while working for the Observer, with her most hard hitting piece being how she had fallen out with the owner of the Serpent’s Den in Laveau. This incident, which Rose alleged include kidnapping and forced drugging may well have played a part in the seeming addiction that took her life and those frequenting that place should be well-warned by now, not to trust that everyone there is by consent. We were lucky that Rose was able to see though dark businesses such as this.

Rose also investigated the HPD from time to time and her time, efforts and work here will be sorely missed at the Observer.

A full obituary will be run in due course and those with memories of Rose are invited to submit their thoughts and wishes to the Observer to be carried in print. ((Contact: Daiyu / faithtang.resident)).
