Apologies that this is no longer ‘breaking news’ in the sense of being written about on a timely basis, but it is ‘breaking news’ in the sense that people fell and went crack on the pavement or in the bushes. I guess Carter (the HPD officer with the Cyberdyne systems investments) probably went thunk instead, although I can confirm that at least as far as I witnessed there were no ‘bangs‘ of either the firearm or other Hathian kind.
Our lead image shows the scene outside the Grind and near the rumoured (well not really a rumour, more like everyone knows) Yuugen haunt of Hathian Motors. This scene confronted me a week or so back when I was on the way to the office and happened upon a commotion.
I’d like to think that Carter had tried some kind of WWE ‘elbow drop’ move from the roof of the Grind onto Yuugen leader Tori, but it appears that rather more boringly a fight had occurred and that officer(s) had fallen from the roof, possibly taking Tori with them.
It appeared that injuries had been sustained all round but what made it of particular interest was how the apparent waifu of Carter was somehow able to stop other Yuugen members from taking more revenge on him. It appeared he was immobilised with a leg injury, but rather than be able to take the also injured Tori into custody he was instead protected by his wife against others who approached, including an unknown pair of women and (slowly due to the Boba) Yuugen affilate Bethari.
The Hathian Police Department were approached for comment as to the extent of the injuries of their officers or the fact that witnesses reported 911 was unable to dispatch additional support to the officers.
