What appeared to begin as a slow Saturday morning on the 6th June outside Vudu did not stay slow for long. Witnesses near the ‘spiritual’ shop described a gathering outside the building shortly before a large HPD response arrived in the area. Typical of HPD’s recent tactics to wait for a gathering before storming in superior numbers.
What followed was like many other episodes of the Hathian street opera that we ‘love’. Our man on the ground reported tear gas, shouted police orders, gunfire, injured officers, wounded civilians, flying food, broken glass, and a pink plow that was, even to him, one of the most recognisable vehicles on the block.
According to those present, HPD units moved on Vudu in force, with officers in tactical gear swarming the building. Loud commands were heard from around the shop, including orders for those inside to get down on the floor (HPD does at least sometimes offer warning!). Tear gas was deployed into the building, sending smoke through the doorway and turning the already confusing scene into a mix of coughing, shouting and shadowy movement that concealed what was going on.

An armored police vehicle moved to pin the plow as the raid spilled into the street.
One man, identified by witnesses as Sunday (Yes, *that* Sunday, the nice student advisor from Columtreal), was seen rushing toward the entrance while shouting for Maya. He appeared to be overcome by the gas almost immediately, before further gunfire rang out near the doorway. He was later seen on the ground being detained.
A shout of “OFFICER INJURED!” was heard as an officer was removed from the rear of the shop by another member of the raid team. Sunday’s friend Maya was later seen being brought out injured and restrained, bleeding and visibly affected by the gas.
Outside, the scene escalated around what witnesses described as a pink plow-like vehicle (FFS -Ed). Alice (who else -Ed), whose name was shouted over an HPD vehicle’s public address system, appeared to be back to her ‘usual’ form. The vehicle was seen moving erratically as officers attempted to contain it, with an HPD armoured used to try and control her.

Closing Chaos
The street outside Vudu then descended still further. Our Observer identified of one Ms. Littlebird near a picnic table throwing food and cutlery toward officers before being shot at in a show of ‘overwhelming force’. Other known members of the group that has been associated with ‘The Haven’ were also seen injured on the ground.
At the time of publication, the Observer has not received an official HPD statement confirming the warrant, target, arrests, charges, or full injury list. It remains unclear whether the raid was aimed specifically at the Vudu, Haven-affiliated persons, suspected contraband, or a broader investigation.
What is clear is that a Saturday morning gathering outside Vudu became a full-scale police action, and then, because this is Hathian, somehow also became a vehicle standoff involving a pink plow and flying picnic food.
The Observer has requested comment from HPD and welcomes statements from witnesses, Vudu representatives, and anyone who can confirm the identities and conditions of those injured or detained.
