We all know what Hospitals are… They can be places that cause anxiety or stress and nine times out of ten if you’re there it isn’t for a good reason! A normal person would expect though to at least be safe simply visiting the Hospital. And the Police? Well they are there to protect and serve, or at least keep their barbaric behavior to the streets. Here though we have the Hathian Police Department entering the Hathian General Hospital, and assaulting staff. I personally witnessed this myself! I watched as a man was arrested without cause and where hospital staff were assaulted, and beaten bloody, and then unjustly arrested.

It all started with a man, who’s name has not been divulged, delivering ice cream. The HPD entered HGH and apparently seemed to have an off duty Officer present who then attempted to arrest this man for conspiracy!

When Hospital staff objected to this travesty of Justice, Lieutenant Lizette Calhern began assaulting Chief of Staff Simon LeMarchand openly in the HGH lobby! HGH Chief LeMarchand to his credit took this assault with stoicism, and professional, standing defiant in the face of LT Calhern’s excessive force, and brutality.

This quickly devolved into a shouting match however with more officers arriving on scene. Further examples of corruption reared their ugly head when one officer demanded I, an accredited journalist, leave and stop taking pictures under threat of arrest along with a threat to confiscate my camera.

Soon the lobby erupted into further chaos as the Officer who threatened me was called to detain a blonde staff member who was attempting to reach the elevators. The lobby of the HGH turned into an all out brawl with the officers abusing their power and one of them openly striking a pregnant woman in the head and knocking her unconscious. The HGH Staff were taken to jail once the brawl was over leaving the Hospital severely understaffed with many patients to take care of without available medical staff!

Can we truly sit by and watch such a corrupt system act without constraint, or morals anymore? That is up to the Citizens of Hathian to decide. (We should get an HPD statement – Ed)

We understand that HGH has chosen to recruit a law firm to represent their staff and the firm has released the following statement:

Statement: Karsin & Associates LLP on Behalf of HGH

Hathian General Hospital is deeply disturbed to report that on the evening of October 18th, 2024, our dedicated medical staff were subject to a horrific and unlawful incident of violence initiated by members of the Hathian Police Department. What began as a standard shift dedicated to saving lives and providing critical care escalated into a traumatic and dangerous confrontation, in which six members of our medical team were wrongfully arrested after attempting to de-escalate a brawl that erupted within hospital premises.

The incident occurred in direct violation of the sanctity of our hospital, a place that serves as a safe haven for the sick, the vulnerable, and the injured. Our staff, whose sole duty is to care for the community, were instead forced to witness their colleagues brutalized and wrongfully detained while attempting to uphold their oath to “do no harm.”

The behavior of the officers involved was not only reckless but also displayed a complete disregard for the law, professional ethics, and human decency. These acts of violence were perpetrated within the very walls of a medical facility, putting patients and staff alike in imminent danger. The fact that those who are sworn to protect and serve our community could so egregiously violate that duty is both shocking and unacceptable.

Hathian General Hospital has retained legal representation and is fully prepared to pursue all avenues of justice on behalf of our staff. Attorney Davlos Karsin has been retained to represent the six wrongfully arrested staff members, and legal action will be taken to ensure that accountability is met. This appalling abuse of power cannot and will not be tolerated.

The hospital stands resolute in its commitment to providing the highest standard of care, even in the face of adversity. However, we must address the trauma inflicted on our team, who were not only wronged but betrayed by those they should have been able to rely on for protection in the event of emergencies.

We call on the Hathian Police Department to immediately investigate and take corrective action against the officers involved in this shameful display of brutality. We will also be demanding a full public apology and comprehensive policy reforms to ensure that such an egregious violation never occurs again.

Our thoughts are with our staff, their families, and the patients who were impacted by this disturbing incident. Hathian General Hospital remains unwavering in its mission to heal, and we will continue to support those affected as we seek justice for this gross miscarriage of the law.
