Hathian, 22nd September 2024

Dear reader, I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to provide more updates during the night. Sadly I was assigned to a room without working internet, but now that I’ve been awoken and it appears the trial is about to restart, so here I am again. Scribing something I never thought I would while trying to ensure that someone has the interests of Hathian to mind.

For anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, why it’s day 2 of the ‘trial’ of Krystal O’Neil, HPD’s Inspector at the ‘Hathian Against Corruption Court’ where yesterday proceedings were rather tumultuous to say the least. Feel free to read that link to catch up.

With the accused having had a night of sleep care of HAC I was pleased to be able to attend to her morning routine so as to witness whether she was treated with respect, as we would hope. Where she wasn’t, you dear reader can rest assured that I am doing my best to perhaps do better than Momo (her inanimate defence lawyer).

Stay tuned in the next half hour or so as we return to court to see what will happen and remember that we understand there is a Dark Web ((CD Discord)) stream where you, apparent jurists of this case can make your voices heard.

1.30pm SLT – Dark Web – Dark People

Well, as noted this is also happening on the Dark Web and I was given a quick sneak peek of some of the discussion. Now, in a ‘normal’ trial, the jury deliberation is held in secret and usually Jury selection is a long and drawn out process where bias and other matters are dealt with. Here, on the Hathian Dark Web… condemnation of HPD and Krystal was extensive.

• User ‘notfxingfrench’ said: “Yall, can I buy tickets to be part of it? I’m offerin’ 1K.”
• User ‘Dopeboy’ said: “Betta court and justice system den Hathian eva had. PD deserve this. Hope they kill her and everyone they catch. HPDK all day.”
• User ConvictedConviction said: “Guilty. Off with her fuckin head.”
• User Cockadoodledoo said: “Good Riddance, Guilty for sure, off with her head”

And it went on like that…

There were only two users who didn’t condemn Krystal. One appeared to have got to the site from the Observer and wondered if HPD cops were really as bad as portrayed. The Dark Web assured them that they were.

User corprat#91: “new to hathian and greeted with this shitshow. i picked up the local paper and got an idea of what’s going around here. is it truly this bad in town? i’ve delt with corrupt cops before but you all make it sound as if they are utterly rabid”

The other sounded like someone keen to participate but who also had experience with Jack and Oksana. Irish Potato Farmer said: “What kind of farce of a show is this Public to the people of Hathian and yet where is this being held in some basement noone can attend. What kind of court is this? Kanguroo court down under? On some website? How will the public be able to get justice this way? To scared that the crowd would side with the defended? Or maybe this just another fake smut torture video of Oksana and Jack trying to get off with there sexual fantasies? Open it to the crowd ya lame muppets.”

With people like the above, it seemed that currently the ‘voting’ public were not in a good mood.

1.45pm SLT – A Carving

I am not sure reader if I am meant to report on this, but as I’m not currently being watched… the accused Krystal, is having a logo carved onto her skin, one that I think is the HAC symbol of an ‘O’. Branding prisoners is what happens after they are guilty… this doesn’t sit right.

However, after I challenged this I have been severely reprimanded and I’m afraid that if I am to continue writing, I should heed advice to ‘pipe down’.

Once the carving was completed, Jack moved in to give Krystal a hair-cut… he was steady with the scissors, but it was a hard to watch. Humiliating.

2pm SLT – All Quiet

It appears that Court will have to wait, after an impromptu haircut the duo of Jack and Oksana are leaving for reasons unknown. I am assuming I will have my laptop taken away again, so this is likely the last you’ll hear from me until they return. I wish I’d packed more than the clothes I was wearing yesterday.

Day 3 – Mayoral Statement

The Observer has not had contact with Daiyu for a day or so. As there has been no proof of death (or life) on the Dark Web, we have been doing the rounds in Hathian and thought that since Krystal had some history with the Mayor, but also since an effective HPD is probably required to stop the Mayor being burned to death in his office or Yacht that we’d get a comment.

Mayor Boxer: “Who? Wait, wait… the small one. Yapping at heels. I am sure her replacement will do a great job. Onwards and upwards right, especially for short people!”

Well… one day maybe he’ll manage to be Mayoral.
