HATHIAN – On this day of June 7th 2024, Lucy Crow stood trial in New Orleans for the murder of Barley Donnachaidh and Simona ‘Simi’ Annalora. Proceedings were moved from Hathian to New Orleans to prevent bias in the media and among the potential jury pool. However Crow made a plea deal and was found not guilty by reason of insanity and all pending charges were withdrawn according to the terms of the plea.

On the 3th of June, Detective Sergeant Cade Morgan investigated the house of Barley Donnachaidh and Simona ‘Simi’ Annalora after a concerned call, which led to the discovery of the deceased remains of Donnachaidh and Annlora, as well as several remains of unidentified persons. Crow was present at the scene of crime covered in blood and was arrested on second and third degree murder charges. For more details, see the previously released article regarding the discoveries made at the estate.

The judge accepted the motion by Crow’s lawyer Matthew Dune, on behest of Doctor LeBlanc, to accept the plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. During the commission of the crime, it was determined that she was experiencing a DID episode, sustained by testimony by the aforementioned medical professional. She was not in control of her mind. In lieu of being sentenced for murder, she will be brought into the Blackwater asylum for treatment until she is deemed recovered and not a danger to society.

Crow’s lawyer, Matthew Dune, spoke on the matter after the court session: “Today the scales of Justice have tipped back in the right direction. It’s been a long week of insidious rumors being spread about my client, and downright disgusting behavior of several high ranking HPD officials. Doctor LeBlanc and I have been the only ones to make sure that Justice has been served on both sides, and we will not stop until everyone responsible has their day in court. Thank you.”

In addition, he stated that online bullying needs to stop. Should certain members of the public take it upon themselves to be judge, jury and executioner in the court of public opinion, he has promised swift legal action against such individuals.

HPD was approached for comment on the outcome of these court proceedings, but no official statement was released on the matter.

A follow-up article will be published regarding public feelings on these court proceedings, as well as personal sentiment about the passing of Drs. Barley Donnachaidh and Simona ‘Simi’ Annalora.

*: Alice Crow demanded that Lucy not be referred to as a Crow, but as this was the legal docket name, the Observer, for factual reasons is unable to change her name.
