On the surface Bourbon Street appears to the casual eye as a lively adult themed district, with a strip club, sex toy shop, a massage parlour, and likely sex workers standing around the corners. It caters to everyone’s desires and whims. In the past, the Hathian Harlots could perhaps be seen in the area, although we’ve not caught whisper of any exploits of them for a little while (Tips to the Observer please!).
Behind the bright signs, sexy outfits, and entertainment though, there is another existence. Here is desperation, fear, and abuse. If you look closely, the beautiful stripper is hiding too many bruises. The sex worker is wary and armed. The building themselves, while colourful, have their paint peeling, exposing some of the festering decay beneath.
Systematic Targeting
I was tipped off about an incident of sexual abuse at the twisters, and when I asked around, I was exposed to the horrific crimes being carried out, in particular by some officers from HPD. They visit Titty Twisters, under false pretences or otherwise, to carry out unlawful arrests and intimidate the dancers.
This surely sounds familiar to many of you right? But they don’t stop there, some officers have been known to promise girls protection in exchange for sexual favours. These debts are collected whether the girls are willing or not. They target the vulnerable and the young, shiny pretty girls and then they attempt to break them.
Disguise and Deceit
Since many Hathian Citizens are wary of uniforms (unless they are paying for someone to take that role), some of these officers visit the establishment in civilian clothing. Once they have set their hooks into someone, they reveal then their position of power and how they can utilise it to destroy a young woman’s confidence and possibly her life.
The girls have no protection and definitely no recourse to report such sexual crimes at the station where they might encounter their abusers. They put on makeup, a fake smile and carry-on with the pain and trauma of the violation they have endured.
Name & Shame
I was not given the names of every perpetrator of such crimes and it’s not certain if such a thing is possible. But in order not to besmirch the entirety of HPD for the predations of some officers I shall refrain from exposing the two names we’ve heard. However for those who work in the trade you can work out who to contact to get their details. We have also reached out to HPD for comment and will update if we hear anything.
In reaching out to the Titty Twister management, I was informed they have taken necessary steps to ban one of the officers. Kali Lane, Manager, was adamant that she will not stand for the abuse of her girls.
