I am very pleased to announce that in an effort to bring sports into the daily lives of all citizens and students in Columtreal, Hathian and Laveau, we will be forming a Parish wide Boxing League. Not only will this bring sports to the masses, it will also help cement Columtreal University’s Athletic Department as the frontrunner of boxing within the parish. We felt it was crucial that we created something that everyone can participate in and not just students enrolled at CU, this will help to bridge our communities and provide opportunities for students to learn from Hathian and vice-versa.

Our solution has been to secure the rights to create and operate the ‘Hathian Boxing League’ (HBL). HBL functions as a framework in which individuals, as well as businesses and organizations, can certify themselves in order to field eligible fighters to compete in the HBL.

To host these fight nights and tournaments, we have made modifications to our Gymnasium, installing a boxing ring as well as extra seats on our bleachers, creating an official HBL boxing arena, where people can buy tickets to see their local heroes pummel others for glory, as well as the chance to win their own pair of our main HBL trophy, the “The Golden Gloves“.

Whether you are a CU Student, an HPD Officer, A Reject or a Titty Twister Stripper matters not, as everyone will compete under the same ruleset, or be barred form the competition. This is for everyone, by everyone.

To ensure maximum media Coverage, Hathian Boxing League & The Observer Newspaper have partnered on bringing you the latest news and rumours form the world of boxing, so that you may always be up to date on the latest information available.

Local Clubs & Sponsorships

It is our hope that in time, more and more local clubs will join in, both the older existing gyms, as well as any brand new ones. It is our intent that these local clubs will be supported and sponsored by local businesses that will help secure the clubs prolonged longevity by supplying economic sustainability and helping to market the fighters.

Likewise the HBL will be open to primary sponsors that will have their logos displayed in official graphics wherever they may occur.

Job Opportunities

To ensure the success of HBL, we have allocated some funds for a few positions to help us in meeting our desired goals.

  • Freelance Boxing Promoters
  • Referees / Judges
  • Number Girls (Models that will also be required to attend photoshoots)
  • Bookies

CU Boxing

In addition to the HBL, CU also proudly presents its very own boxing program, that will help teach and train all that are enrolled at Columtreal University in the art of professional boxing.

To supply boxing training of the highest quality, we have hired Miss Eleri Pentewyn as our head coach of the boxing program. Coach Pentewyn are by many known as the successful entrepreneur behind the FitBox Gym in Vodou, and will be bringing all her knowledge of fitness, bodybuilding and fighting spirit to be bestowed on all that attends her boxing practices.

Coach Pentewyn will be holding her first boxing practice at CU Gym Friday January 12th @ 2.00 PM.

In time we aim to launch our very own CU Boxing Club to participate in the league as well.

Our Closing Thoughts

Imagine this…

You are standing in Lou’s Bar waiting for your drinks, and all around, you can sense how the atmosphere is buzzing with excitement and joy. Suddenly the whole bar goes ballistic, and you fling your eyes to meet the canvas of the screen Loz has put up on the wall. Against all odds, Bryce Canden has just knocked out Landon Fyre with a mean right hook, and you know you have both witnessed history that will be talked about for generations, as well as doubled the salary you got paid yesterday by gambling it just right. Tomorrow, you will visit Lou’s again, as this time Loz will be showing the fight between Piper Rewell and another fat cunt, and you have a pretty good feeling who will win that one as well.

Signed, CU Dean & HBL Representative, Carly Cox

((There is an SL group called ‘Hathian Boxing League’ that is set to free enrolment if anyone wants to stay up to date on the latest regarding this project))
