Its been awhile Looters. Whilst there has been lots of tea on campus, I’ve been saving the juicy stuff for a cold, rainy day.

And the forecast just got wet.

New lecturer on campus….

You may have already read that our notorious sex education specialist Ms Cox has a new controversial class, but she’s not the only Columtreal University lecturer stirring the melting pot of campus.

In a class called Anarchy 101, new lecturer Deman Turner is the instigator setting fire to the young influential minds of the student body. Particularly the female students. Maybe it helps he’s sorta’ hot too!

The children of the pink revolution

Protesting the “pink” tax, the overpricing of feminine hygeine products on campus from places like the campus store and vendors in women’s dorms and bathrooms, Mr Turner is organising a protest that aims to shake up things on campus.

But we aren’t all freshman and have seen how these things have ended before. No matter how peaceful the intentions. In class Turner stated “”Remember, our goal is to raise awareness, spark conversations, and advocate for change. Let’s continue refining our ideas and work towards a protest that is impactful and resonates with the broader community.”

But protest after protest has ended in violence and disaster, injuries, even death. One student protest saw students run over by Police cars. Another saw previous alumni Buffy-Ella Millet and mother of current student Sarah-Michelle Gage do a protest gig at the HPD which resulted in violence.

Maybe the bold new students of CU won’t make the same mistakes as previous generations, though not everyone seems on-board with the protest. Overheard on campus and in class were a few doubters.

“Honey, the world is a shithole and life is suffering, instead of blaming older generations for everything, maybe try and use the same ingenuity that comes with free thought to fix it” – Carly Cox

“you don’t have to protest with violence, violence only creates more violence – see Newton’s third law”. – Lucy R Collar

“Have they tried, like, not being poor?” – Sarah-Michelle Buffy Gage

Still I hope the organisers have invested in medical insurance! And will the Dean’s office and school board listen to the students voices anyway?

Incitement for change…

In the words of Turner “”Remember, folks, change often comes from pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo. Let’s make sure our protest is talked about for years to come.”

Maybe it will Mr Turner, but you better hope it’s for the right reasons.
