Laveau Visit

I visited Laveau because of my work at the CU clinic and also to meet some of the Yheng family. A family that works hard to live the American dream and have a great restaurant with a vegetarian menu. I’ll write more about them next time so you don’t miss anything.
Move To Pyjama
After visiting Ai-Li, I moved on to the Starlust Motel. But make no mistake, dear readers, the motel is not about lust at all. The window plainly states that there are no prostitutes at the address.
To the motel itself, I can say from personal experience that the motel is a nice place and I often stay there during my trips between Laveau and Columtreal. The rooms are clean and not expensive and the staff is polite. I have had no problems at all with the accommodations there.
But back to my visit, I arrived at the motel and was greeted by polite staff who offered me drinks and a place to change. So I changed into the pyjamas I had brought with me and asked for a glass of wine and asked the staff about the motel. All the staff were very friendly and Ursula in particular was very helpful and even offered to arrange a meeting with the owner later.
Zofia: “What can you tell me about the motel?”
Ursula: “It’s a very legitimate business and I really appreciate that. I clean the rooms and I’m one of the housekeepers.”
Zofia: “Do you like your job in the motel?”
Ursula: “I love my job here! It’s nice and chill.”
Meeting With A Long-Term Customer
After a free glass of wine, I asked one of their customers, a middle-aged woman named Fran, who has been staying at the motel for two weeks.
Zofia: “Fran, how have you been satisfied with your room and with the motel as you live here for few weeks right?”
Fran: “Its clean, good, nice …”
Zofia: “Anything else you want to say about the motel?”
Fran: “The rooms are rather big, have not seen such motel often, and it was solid enough to resist the hurricane, was not even flooded …”
Party & Conclusion
Then the party began and people danced and drank as usual. But most of them weren’t wearing pyjamas, as if that’s not a thing in the US. The fun went on all night and the organizers did a great job.
Starlust Motel seems to be a nice place to stay if you travel a lot between Hathian and Laveau. But you better beware, dear readers, even though everything looks perfectly clean and welcoming, it is a Backwater after all and you know the reputation this place has.
