There’s Something In The Water

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No... it's Hathian Paddling Department

The Observer was sent anonymous pictures of a Hathian Police Department cruiser being towed from (perhaps towed into? The order of the pictures wasn’t clear) the seafront.

The cruiser, which we understand is registered to HPD Officer Atsuko Nakama looked pretty waterlogged. Salt water is pretty damaging to engines from what we were told when we asked a local mechanic and they said that it was unlikely the vehicle could be returned to service.

The Hathian Observer doesn’t condone damaging civic property; these vehicles might be used by the Emergency Services to save your life one day, so taking them off the road for a swim isn’t great.

Local Hathian Resident, Corbin LaSalle (also a nomination for Mr.Hathian) found the whole situation funny. You can follow along on Twitter and see whether the HPD Officer reclaims her property (or denies it).

The Observer is sure that HPD have insurance, but perhaps not against confusing a cruiser with a motor cruiser.

If any other tipsters out there know who is behind this crime (or whether it was an accident caused by HPD) do get in touch.
