HGH Reflections – The Deeds Put Everything Into Place

The town is slowly waking up from the nightmare of the day before; the bandits are in custody and awaiting judgment, police and firefighters are having a well-deserved rest, and the heroes of the new day; medics and volunteers are helping the victims survive another day.

But what conclusions can we make after this, no doubt, wound on the body of the town?

Only by deeds can one prove the intentions.

SWAT team formed from HPD officers about to burst into the building

Police officers who a couple of days ago were patrolling the streets or had just earned their badges are our heroes today. They bravely, without sparing themselves and without fear of getting shot, freed the hostages and caught most of the terrorists. I think our mayor should reward Captain Julian Heckler for such an operation and HPD should reward everyone who participated in the rescue of the building.

Yes, to some people it will seem like praising the police when there are many articles in this newspaper about the brutality. We are not oblivious to the problems, but it is worth remembering when an asset as large and complicated as Hathian is like a household; you cannot avoid problems. Let’s forget the troubles for today and just thank our heroes.

And those who disagree and think that gangs are the true order or owner of the town, I want to ask them the following:

This is Spurs Seattle, Lieutenant of HFD. He single-handedly carried the injured, manoeuvring between burning building fragments and explosions

Why didn’t anyone organize any shelter or hot meals? Why didn’t anyone help Spurs Seattle bring the injured, private cars and more? Even the fire brigade from Laveau came to the rescue!

This is one of the fire engines and their crews from Laveau that came to the rescue

No one begged for help from Sean Diaz, owner of a gas station and several buildings in District 8, but he personally got behind the wheel of a gasoline truck and helped the firefighters fill up their vehicles despite the threat!

In the photo you can see Rog Messmer getting ready to refuel the fire trucks

But it’s not too late to show your caring for the town. Donate blood at the university hospital, help the wounded in the field hospital, be a volunteer, be together with the citizens.

Now, while the hospital is destroyed, it’s time to put aside arguments and feuds. HGH has always been welcoming to any resident, regardless of reputation. Let us honor this place and learn this lesson.

Where Is Help Needed Now?

Columtreal University Clinic
Blood donation, caregivers
How to reach: If you are from Hathian, take the bus and get off at the “University” station. West of the Columtreal clock tower is the clinic. See our map HERE.

Field hospital setup on the Strip Mall
Hot food, water, caregivers.
How to reach: Walk east from the Grind coffee shop. If you are coming from out of town, go east on Hathian Highway. See our map HERE.

The CU Clinic needs you as does the Field Hospital

The Hathian Observer requests contributions from Citizens relating to this event. Did you take photos? Do you have a witness statement? Are you an officer willing to go on (or off) record about what you saw? Reach out to us. Reasonable out of pocket expenses and anonymity if judged required.
