Anonymous Basement Tip Is A Bust

The Observer needed a new window on the 6th of July when a brick sailed through it. Wrapped around the brick was a simple note containing both a location and a message:

Our reporter attempted to visit the site twice, firstly on the 7th July when the site was unable to be accessed due to a law enforcement operation and secondly on the 11th of July when after briefly visiting the site she was detained and had her photos deleted by HPD officers.

Our editor noted that:

Daiyu: “When I visited there was nothing obvious from the outside of the building and had I managed to get access to any basement it then it would have probably been quite clean. It was unfortunate timing that visiting seemed to cause a mini-swarm of officers interested in what I was photographing “

Other than reminding HPD that photographers have a 1st Amendment Protection to take photos from public spaces and that the accidental deletion of photos is frustrating, (but in this instance will not be taken further), there is nothing to support the allegation that came through the window, this time. Captain Heckler will be pleased.
