Max Sharpe, 21, who was charged for the aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping of Aurora Brighton, was unexpectedly bailed out of jail shortly after his arrest. Sharpe was in the process of being interrogated by Detective O’Ren Ishii in attempt to find the other three suspects connected with this case. Detective Ishii is offering a $25,000 reward for knowledge on Sharpe’s whereabouts.
Sharpe had been reprehended on June 1st, 2014, by O’Ren Ishii, as he stood outside of the Gein. He was allegedly covered in Brighton’s blood and carrying her cane. Soon after his capture, Brighton was found in a shallow grave in the Hathian cemetery, critically injured.
Tests confirmed that Brighton was also brutally raped during her captivity. Brighton remains in the hospital, stable despite the extensive damage done to her. Due to the recent release of the suspect she is being carefully guarded in the hospital until the HPD believe she is safe.
