After hours of chaos and lost control, a group of five prisoners at the Louisiana State Penitentiary managed to escape the maximum security prison during a riot this weekend.
The riot occurred in the courtyard, where at least a hundred inmates were in the middle of the recreation hour. The massive amount of people and the incredible state of confusion the guards were in provided the five escapees with the opportunity.
In the twenty four hours after the breakout, four of the five criminals were recaptured, which leaves one person unaccounted for. Louisiana state police refuse to release the name of the wayward prisoner to avoid state wide and possibly national panic, but say they are actively looking for the individual.
