Hey dears, I’m getting better worse at this again. We’re into June and here I am focusing on March, but I guess that means that there has been a lot of news recently and it’s a timely reminder of the past (but relatively recent) so perhaps there was something you missed that now you can all salivate (if nudity exists) or worry (if criminality exists) over.

Anyway, as I said in February and the reason for getting this (and I hope April completed) is that you told me you value having Observer goodness concentrated into the ‘key’ articles… As ever I encourage you to browse our site, which you can do my month or year to see everything.

Anyway, last month it was the juicy stuff, this month, well… I’d say at least one article had many of you on social media reaching for the bucket. Yeah. That Photo. Anyway, trigger warning it features again below. I will say, just so that you don’t close the page already, there is also juicy stuff… and as always here is the last month February 2026 review and the 2025 year in review as well.

For newbies: I select my top three articles for February and give you a brief synopsis of them, along with the link to them so you can either read them if you missed them, OR can refresh yourself if you wish.

March we had eighteen articles to pick from, so a good selection! Let me know what you think dear readers, as always the door to the Observer is always open to genuine feedback!

No Haven From the Flames

Those ‘lovable’ folk over near the Vudu Spice store, who may or may not call themselves the Haven, got together and set fire to some stuff. Including a person. Now, fire in Hathian is fairly common, but I’ll grant you that a fifty foot wicker man reached new heights figuratively and literally. Thankfully, the FDH was around to stop it spreading too far, but in case people were getting the wrong idea from my ‘Chainsaw Charlie’ articles, or because of the relatively rare set of articles on Eva, let’s be clear: dangerous people!

Cheerleaders Go Home Or Go Bust(y)

The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting that the outcome will be different if the inputs remain the same. That, might, not be the exact quote but every time I see a bus of Cheerios visiting Laveau (rather than say the nice performing arts centre next door) I worry that they are pushing FAFO to the limits. Thanks to the intervention of both good fortune, the CUPD and the cheerleaders themselves, casualties were kept lower than they otherwise might have been.

‘On Your Knees Criminal Scum!’

Yes, the HPD did go after the lovely people that run with Annika. Yes, they did then send me lawyers to protest at the coverage. I am not entirely sure that I can allow myself not to repost this article on the basis that the photo below needed to be offset by the beauty of those who work for Annika (and herself).

Anyway, it was a bit of a melee and some interesting… ‘faces’ appeared in the line of HPD’s arrests, so there was definitely something for everyone to follow up on.

Bonus Picture

A Drug Raid… and a social media phenomenon!

Yes, it’s that one again. I promise that’s the last time!

That concludes the news round-up for March! As always, catch a reporter from the Observer (or we visit as required) to give us your stories, tips or other information!

((Promotion of the Observer and CD happens off-sim as well, so if you can help out feel free to link to your other SL friends. Spread the word, the active stories and see if we can’t generate new role-players or encourage others to return!))
