On April 6th 2026 a local Hathian man known as Charlie (Here we go – Ed) was wounded by gunfire outside the Clam Convenience Store. Local witnesses anonymously recalled the event as follows…
HPD officers went to the Clam to apprehend Charlie for alleged crimes against multiple people. When the police attempted to interact peacefully, Charlie opened fire at the officers and so they responded with gunfire too.
“More people arrived and entered into the fray. Most carried firearms and used them.” – Witness
The spray of bullets from multiple individuals caused confusion and chaos in the alley just outside the Clam Convenience Store. When (and after judicious use of force) it stopped, a young woman was cuffed and positioned on the sidewalk for questioning by several uniformed officers. At least one of the uniformed officers appeared battered with fresh blood and wounds implying a very fresh, physical altercation.
The wounded target, Charlie B, was quickly put onto a gurney, clearly still alive but struggling to speak as he was loaded into the ambulance that transported him to nearby medical facilities. Charlie was taken to Hathian General Hospital (‘HGH’) for urgent treatment of gunshot related wounds. It is unknown if Charlie will be facing any charges for further crimes, beyond those he was originally sought for.
Gruesome Rumours
Reportedly their are rumours of Charlies’ involvement in several gruesome, violent incidents in Hathian over the recent weeks. The details of these events is clouded, but we’ll try and dig out more if we can. For a start, the Observer has already covered and now more firmly believes that Charlie was involved in something the locals called the ‘Wicker Man Ritual’ that resulted in at least one death. One anonymous local stated “Charlie is always a threat to the public, along with many from the Haven group.”
Another troubling implication was made about a recent blood drive in Hathian that Charlie was allegedly involved in. Multiple disenchanted locals made loose accusations that every drop of blood that was donated was stored improperly and thus became contaminated and could not be used for any good.
Fear of speaking seems to be enough to keep the details fuzzy, but any information helps. Details regarding the individuals that were present at the scene will be protected. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
