An explosion occurred at one of the vacant buildings on Hathian Highway, late evening. Hathian’s Fire Department (‘FDH’) were quick to arrive to the scene as the Municipal Garage is located toward the rear of the build with potential disastrous consequences that would have seen a lot more devastation and destruction rupture the block if the fire had spread.
Fortunately the FDH were able to eliminate the fire that engulfed the building after the initial explosion thanks in part to quick reporting of the issue by a Hathian Police Department officer (‘HPD’). HPD were quick to block off the crowd that gathered outside of Lous, working with the FDH to control the inflow of people and vehicles, keeping them safely at a distance from the blaze.
The question remains why an empty building would explode. At first, many innocuous reasons rise to mind such as a gas leak from a faulty pipe or an electrical problem. This, however, does not appear to be the case.
“Mag Byrds. That’s who we are. Magnolia Street Byrds. Fuck around and find the fuck out! This shit was intentional. Don’t get it twisted. We blew the joint up cuz we want everyone to know that this city is ours. This was a warning shot to them fuckers in the back, them Yuugen clowns. Next time we won’t miss!
We not on the dark web. We blowin’ yo shit up in yo fuckin’ face!!! An’ bullets gone fly. One is for them Bones, one for them Yuugens. Swear down, we gone make blood flow through these streets. Keep eyes open.“
This was a statement released to this reporter over voicemail about fifteen minutes after the explosion. The voice belonged to a male, with a deep voice, sounding to be in his late twenties, and there were sounds of engines running in the background.
One thing very noticeable was the lack of mention regarding the gang known as the Rejects. It seems this too, may be intentional. Could they be working in alliance with these new fire brands? Or are they dismissive of the gang whose turf is typically associated with Bourbon Street, one of the prime economic earners of the city? Whatever the reason, the omission is glaring.
