Obituary: Surien ‘Lolli’ Kuramoto

In Loving Memory of Surien “Lolli” Kuramoto May 8th 1991 – January 3rd, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Surien Kuramoto, who left us on January 3rd, 2025.

Surrounded by love and the memories she created, Surien left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on May 8th in Kyoto, Japan. Surien brought light, laughter, and love into the world. She was known for a heart full of compassion to those she loved, an infectious sense of humour and her boundless creativity which she spent her life spreading to all. Living life in her own way, her own terms and to her fullest.

Surien cherished her family and friends deeply. She found joy in cooking, painting, rescuing any animal she could get her hands on and her greatest pride and joy were her children who she leaves behind.

She is survived by her children Luna and Loki King, her youngest son Teejay and her adoptive mother Mollie Kuramoto. Surien was preceded in death by her first husband Arsen Skilar.

While our hearts ache with loss, we find comfort knowing that Surien’s spirit will live on in the love she shared and the memories we hold dear.

In some of her final wishes, she wants all those in mourning to go to Lou’s, get a double vodka, one ice cube (only one) and sing as loudly as you can. “If I Ever Leave This World Alive” by Flogging Molly.

You may leave a tribute on her social media HERE if you so wish. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course, you may follow Mollie’s social media HERE for details.
