Press Release: 19th of August, 2024
I feel it is time I share my thoughts on recent events – I find Hathian’s civilian government, in other words, Mayor B. Boxer and his administration’s lenient policy towards repeat offenders, his lack of political support for the thin blue line, alongside his habit to direct city’s funds into his own pockets instead of areas where they would be needed, such as our clogged court system as main reason for ongoing attacks aimed at emergency services and city’s infrastructure.
As it stands, the terrorists KNOW they will get away with it – And they have…
Five officers have been killed in 2024 alone. The number of wounded officers? I no longer can even keep track without boxes of paperwork.
How many of these terrorists have been captured by HPD? Almost all.
How many of these terrorists have been, figuratively, hanged for their crimes? None.
The Hathian Police Department isn’t alone when it comes to being a constant target of violence. The Fire Department of Hathian (‘FDH’) struggles with similar issues. Why? It is beyond me…
Firefighters and paramedics are here to help, yet they also must live under constant fear of being shot, stabbed or bombed – Just because they are there to do their work, trying to save lives.
Chief Pentewyn from Hathian Fire Department would confirm this, alas right now he is unable to, for he is fighting for his life in the care of HGH after being grievously wounded during yet another terrorist attack. This time targeting the funeral of Shyla Fray, a firefighter who was murdered in the line of duty.
For us, death in the line of duty is a possibility we all acknowledged when we signed up. Still, we all have names, families, and lives.
We deserve better.
What we need is a deterrent, a deterrent that shows these repeated offenders that civilized Hathian society, nor the blue and red lines of our emergency services as society’s protector have unlimited patience. Patience isn’t infinite… While we guard the night, Mayor Boxer sleeps soundly. While we are dying, the Mayor is partying. When we ask for help, the Mayor sneers at us. Personally, I believe that he no longer is the right one to lead our glorious city.
And I believe I am not the only one.
