Three people are confirmed dead at Columtreal University after two gunmen entered the main hall, taking several students hostage last weekend.

At approximately 3 p.m on the 14th of December two gunmen took several students and one faculty member hostage for several hours for reasons unknown at this time. The Hathian Police Department was called to the scene and tried to negotiate with the hostage takers but with no success.

Late in the negotiations it looked like HPD was going to breach the door and use force to solve the situation however, one or more of the hostages was able to subdue the suspects without any further casualties.

Vincent Cross and Crow Switch were taken into custody by the HPD on multiple charges including Murder in the First Degree. EMS from the Hathian Fire Department treated the wounded while counseling staff was called in to help ease the nerves of the hostages.

The identities of the three killed has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Calls to CU Dean of Students has not been returned and HPD has refused to release any further information.
