The Observer has been required to carry this statement. Full coverage of the recent riot, including interviews with those involved in the protest are coming. While this statement serves a purpose, the Hathian Observer would like to remind citizens that there are other voices and views that will need to be heard.

HPD Statement On Riot

A peaceful protest was turned into a riot by instigators wearing Reject and Yuugen colors.

That is true but that is not all of it as yesterday was also the day the Hathian Fire Department showed its true colours by aiding in organizing a terrorist attack aimed at a fellow municipal agency.

This will not stand.

It is now clear that the FD’s so-called ‘neutrality‘ has been nothing but pretty words at best, and malicious propaganda at worst, since the end of the administration of the former FD Chief, Trevor Pentewyn.

The Yuugen are responsible for attacks against the Hathian Fire Department and for the deaths of multiple firefighters and police officers alike. Yet Chief Warrhol seems to maintain friendly terms with the alleged leader of this terrorist cell, Hitori Yamato, who openly claims personal responsibility for those deaths.

Were I a firefighter serving at the FD right now, I’d have some questions for the Chief.

The Yuugen are also responsible for the destruction of the previous facilities of Hathian General Hospital. Still, HGH’s Head of Medicine, Dr. Shelby LeBlanc, seems to be a drinking buddy of the terrorist responsible for that attack, and has displayed shameful incompetence, especially during attempts to coordinate municipal efforts during Hurricane Ruth. As a matter of fact, at the time of writing, I was informed that HGH refused to release CCTV footage to a detective who was attempting to follow up a case in which an HGH doctor and nurse were attacked.

Were I employed at HGH, I’d have some questions for Dr. LeBlanc.

This is not a coincidence. Both of these municipal agencies seem to be controlled by Yuugen and these claims are backed by records, newspaper articles, and social media sources.

See it yourself, City of Hathian.

As it stands, I am considering declaring the HFD a criminal organization and treating it as such, given it appears to behave as one, until its leadership has been replaced with a competent chief who is not in the pocket of a second-rate domestic terrorist and jeopardizing both HPD and HFD personnel.

Reflecting this, HPD can no longer rely on the support of either of these agencies and must work toward full militarization and self-reliance when it comes to services historically offered by the FD and HGH.

This is possible. It is not cheap. But it is mandatory.

There is no other way.

Hence, I am demanding that Mayor Boxer allocate a significantly higher sum into HPD’s budget so operational independence can be achieved post-haste. A strong police department is needed to ensure the continuity of his administration, which may otherwise come to an unfortunate end in the hands of an angry mob, should the last line of defence, HPD, fail its task to contain anti-government currents due to insufficient funding to operate in this new, hostile environment.
