Over the several weeks, this reporter has been listening to the heartbreaking stories of so many citizens of Hathian, a common theme has come from almost all of them.
For many of you reading this article, it will come as no surprise that Hathian Police Department (HPD) officers’ names came up again and again and again. The positive stories being massively outweighed by those that were negative. At least 10 different names were mentions, several multiple times. Accusations of crimes like theft, intimidation, coercion, false charges and assault on citizens trying to go about their day. But many stories related to more serious crimes.
Home Invasion
One source told a tragic tale of calling the police to her home in order to get help after a break in and robbery. The officer that arrived, a man who reached the rank of inspector, ended up raping her in her home. Keeping her silence with intimidation and threats of violence, continuing his attacks of his victim over the next few months. This man’s name (not printed at the request his victims) came up countless times from several sources. His crimes all similar in nature. No one was even safe inside the department building itself, as this reporter has it on good authority that he has continues to subject those arrested to unspeakable acts of violence and perversion.
Seeing is Believing
This reporter herself has witnessed the HPD’s attitude towards women first hand. A woman that was at her wits end and attacked a man that had subjected her to untold horrors was dismissed as a crazy. The police officer dealing with the incident, Officer Phillip Aubin, waved her accusations aside. She wasn’t offered a medical examination to determine if there was some evidence remaining that would back up her story. Her anger, her reason for her actions dismissed as simple madness. So a rapist was treated like the victim and let to walk free to attack again because of the officer’s uncaring and incompetent actions.
The number of stories are overwhelming. A fact that this city and the HPD should be ashamed of. There are positive stories out there, a few officers in this vile and corrupt department that are trying their best to help the citizens of Hathian but their actions are eclipsed by those corrupt, hate filled and criminal colleagues.
Editor’s Note: The stories are older than I am. You will have an entrenched view, one way or the other and all we can do is add to the body of evidence of good (when it happens) and the bad (which does happen). Citizens are reminded that when their life is on the line from the gangs, there’s really only one place to call; but what happens if after that threat is dealt with, a new one emerges? That, really, is the warning Rose makes above.
