It seems as if the streets of Hathian are once again succumbing to the misery inflicted on them by yet another ‘in demand’ drug. This newspaper, a staunch opponent of drugs, other than those legally proscribed or for citizens needing use of Marijuana recreationally, has been made aware of misery being inflicted on the streets by a new drug, with a street name of TripStick.
So far, so Hathian. New substance. New Victims. Little outrage.
That doesn’t mean it’s right though and Hathian… since when did you let the gangs from Laveau muscle drugs down into town? That’s right, dear readers. Our work so far indicates that both production and ‘ownership (if misery can ever truly be owned) of this new drug come from Laveau.
This newspaper has experience of that dark place and it’s fair to say that just because it has a fancy name and might be a bit cheaper than something your local felons produce, it is by no means better for you and of course, where there’s a ‘only a bit bit’ drug, there will be worse, used for other purposes.
Deputy Takeda – “Careful You Don’t Trip”
A Deputy with a sense of wordplay. A lawman unto my own heart who when this reporter visited was busy… minding his business over at the revamped LSD (What an acronym right?).
Of course, I attempted to negotiate details and perhaps predictably the good, polite, officer with the dangerous smile batted them back.
Takeda: “You keep digging, Miss Tang. Just mind the direction. This place has a habit of burying people with a story.”
Yes well, there was a bit more to it than that, but that’ll be for the future. For now, the Hathian Police Department is investigating these imports and looking to crack down on the supply. Still, with co-operation between Hathian and Laveau as usual, frosty, we’ll see how it goes.
This reporter’s advice? Don’t take drugs. If the Gein’s burgers used to have insect DNA in it, you think stuff from Laveau is FDA approved?
