Hey, campus peeps!
THIS ONE TIME AT BAND CAMP

Sarah-Michelle Buffy Gage – Lead Singer
So, after taking a lil’ break post their 2024 fire “Dive Bar” tour, our local faves, Buffy and the Slayers, are back vibin’ together and word on the street is that their band manager and bassist, Bobby “Bobby the Boss” Ray Lee, has snagged a studio in Delphine, right near CU where they all chill.
This break happened ‘cause lead singer Sarah-Michelle Buffy Gage was doing time at Laveau Correctional for six months over some drug stuff (she claims innocence!) giving the crew a much-needed time-out after their first tour hit up spots like Sinners in Hathian, Looterfest at Columtreal, Barracudas in Backwaters, and brought in a bunch of new stans.
BUT hold up, Looter fam. The real tea? Sarah-Michelle and Bobby Ray (I mean, their names are basically couple goals! Right?) have split. Everyone on campus thought they were a perfect duo, so this news hit hard for the regulars. I even caught wind that Bobby Ray didn’t check in on her ONCE while she was locked up, like, what was he even thinking? Moron-much?
What was so major that he couldn’t reach out to his boo during her rough patch?

FAMOUS BAND RELATIONSHIP DRAMS
Now the big Q is how this drama is gonna’ shake up the band vibe, but hey, they ain’t the first to deal with relationship mess, and trust, there are defs some bands you’ve heard of that crash and burn too.
Fleetwood Mac: This band is all about the drama with its dating and breakups. Stevie and Lindsey had a rollercoaster love story, and John and Christine were also doing the divorce thing while rocking out together.
No Doubt: Gwen and Tony were a couple back in the day, but they split right before their big album “Tragic Kingdom” dropped. Songs like “Don’t Speak” totally dish on their breakup vibes.
Sonic Youth: Thurston and Kim were basically a couple for like forever, nearly 30 years, but split in 2011, which put the band on pause for who knows how long.
ABBA: This pop group from Sweden had some serious couple goals with Agnetha and Björn, plus Benny and Anni-Frid, but they all ended up divorced, and it definitely shaped their tunes and how they worked together.
The White Stripes: Not as famous, but Jack and Meg were married before jumping into the band. They divorced in 2000 but kept making music until they officially split in 2011.
BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN
No matter what goes down with Buffy and Bobby, the other two Slayers Connor “Beefstick” Kharg and Jo Doulton gotta’ be the vibe that keeps the crew tight if the Slayers wanna’ make it through another tour and maybe take their college band to the next level..

Jo Doulton – Lead guitarist

Connor Kharg – Drums
When there’s more tea to spill, I’ll be spilling!
