Columtreal – Pins & Throws

It’s been a busy few days of going around campus for my classes while also dealing with people shouting at me in the street for doing my job and then attempting to seal their anger with a kiss. Confusing. Might write more on that sometime. Anyway, in a break from the thefts and violence and HGH hiding under a rock over their violent associates, it’s time to turn our (my) attention back to Campus, where I am actually a student so do get to see somethings… although to be honest… I am not the most popular at the parties even if I promise not to gossip!

Anyway, our header image shows the new CU Wrestling training in full swing, but perhaps after drawing your attention to what looked to me like some kind of breath play kink, I should rewind a little.

The announcement had gone out that a training session was to be held and it’s fair to say that our slightly buff (but chunky) athletics coach Danzig was against one of our volleyball players Roxanne (Roxy). With the coach also teaching classes at the University as well outside of the gymnasium it was good to see a rounded educational curriculum in both the classroom and the courts.

Taking up a seat in the stands I was able to take pictures as the two went through a training routine that at times seemed to have more to do with one of those ‘guess where the object’ is type competitions. In this case, I was almost rooting for a wardrobe malfunction from either side to make the lesson (even) more interesting, but fortunately (and making it safe for your paper) this didn’t happen, although afterwards Roxy confessed to me that it had been a fairly hard workout both in terms of the actual experience and the feelings. I didn’t ask the professor if it was hard, because c’mon Columtreal, that sounds like a job for Carly Cox!

Going Through the Motions

Our gallery above shows the warm up, which as everyone knows is important.

“Well, first, let’s sweat a bit. There’s no point in training without doing some cardio beforehand. Keep up with me and repeat my movements, all right?”

Since some of the movements involved spot jumps I kept my finger on the shutter release and was rewarded with just good exercise pictures. What? Did you think I was going to perv on a wardrobe issue? No. Bad reader!

Danzig: “Then I’ll show you a single move, first in the wrestling style, and then how to apply it in self-defense, because you need to learn both.”

There was definitely some grappling going on, for sure!

After all the grappling I caught up with Roxy afterwards for a bit of Q&A:

Observer: “Daiyu Tang, third year journalism student and newspaper intern editor… That was fun watching, you seemed to enjoy it! But I bet you can kick if needed, not just smother!”

Roxanne Ganes: “I have never… been so close to so many men wanting me… but nothing happens… so much in my life!”

Observer: “It’s college, you want them, you’ll have them, just be safe and enjoy the fun when it happens… all part of the experience, although… having not played with a professor, I can’t comment but I did officiate a wedding between the last Dean and her husband. Interesting pictures were shared!”

Roxy: “Oh, I know a few professors that need to be put in their place and even an ambulance driver…”

At this point Roxy asked that her next comments weren’t printed, but I did have to ask one follow-up…

Observer: “Was it Rog the ambulance driver, or Corbin? Either of those two, in particular Rog… he’s a boob man, once made one of my student journalist friends sit without a seatbelt in the front and literally tried to hit every pothole until she had a malfunction….”

Roxy: “Well dayum, I didn’t even have to say his name! Well shit!”

And on that bombshell, proving that good news stays forever remembered, we let Roxy get back to it! If you need coaching come down to the gym when wrestling class is on, or via some of the courses taught in the CU itself.
