Police were called at 8AM on the 14th of June 2012 after the bodies of two unidentified men, who were in their late 50s, were found viciously mutilated near the Warehouse district. The bodies in question were thought to be locals of Hathian, whom were found in a mile radius of each other. In an interview with the forensic investigator of the case, Marshall Ludwig had told the Observer, “the victims have the same or similar injuries to each other. We are currently looking into a double homicide. In addition, we currently have no leads which can identify the perpatrator or perpatrators at this time”. In an interview with a pathologist, he has stated, “it would appear that the victims flesh had been ingested, if not ripped off of the bone. We have currently found gnaw marks on bone. However, we have yet to analyse whether the suspects are in fact male or female as of this moment.”

Police have appealed for anyone with information to make contact. A Hathian police spokesman said officers had to remove the body from the scene shortly after the discovery due the shocking nature of the crime, with the fact it had been close to the Seaside Youth Center.  The Hathian police spokesman has said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and I would appeal for anyone who has any information to get in touch”.
