In the early evening of April 5th, Greenlee Morrisey, the newly appointed manager of the Slim Goodies diner, was in the middle of her shift when a knife wielding man entered the restaurant.
“When I asked him what he would like to eat, he pulled out a knife and demanded money from the register.” the part time lawyer says. “He had scars all over his face, and a raspy voice.”
After a few verbal threats, the crook only got away with $136 dollars and change, and the police were promptly called and the crime reported. Unfortunately, the man fled before any officer could actually arrive on scene.
“He threatened to gut me, and also threatened to rape me.” the woman reveals. “But the moment I dropped the money on the counter, he grabbed it and ran up the road.”
Morrisey wasn’t injured, left completely unharmed except for the psychological trauma the man might’ve caused.
