It was just another day on campus on the 8th of March 2026 when suddenly, out of the blue (or should that be green), Green Lantern appeared on campus as if by magic.
This wasn’t some fluke chance of meeting a Supe in Columtreal, no, this was better. This was a whole fluke of supes coming together in what can only be described as the best Cosplay in CU in 2026. Admittedly, we’re only early in the year, but if this is the start, then by the end of the term we can expect some enterprising engineering student with a jet-pack and a superman cape.
As well as Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman we also had Jinx and… a cowgirl. Yeah, that I wasn’t so sure who they were meant to be, but good on the Cheer Captain for trying something that some of us didn’t get.
It wasn’t just a gathering of costumes, it was also a quiz where contestants had to shout out their answers to questions that ranged from baby level (What is Iron Man’s Real Name) to the slightly harder to get, but overall, as a quiz goes, it was pitched at easy and this seemed to encourage participation with many students shouting to get their answers heard and eventually vouchers doled out from Ulric.
So well done to the Lambda mixed Frat for hosting a great event, for Kara for shouting the questions out and for a few of you for giving us all some real eye-candy. Yes, that means you Super Soren. Most Original. But also the best stuffed costume. Ulric, you really gotta take note. Batman without padding, is just Batwoman on some body types.
