On the 21st of June 2025, the Observer was approached by one Gracie Grosvenor about a possible story. Upon investigating with her, including reviewing her video evidence that she had streamed to her fans on various social media platforms
It appears Ms. Grosvenor took up position behind some street furniture in an altercation between one individual identified by the Observer as Mr. Dune (a sometime lawyer in Hathian, but also a known instigator of trouble and according to the public record, now an HPD Officer) appeared to be in a competition with some street urchin over the use of a baseball bat in public. The scene appeared to be being watched over by one further male and one female officer, who hesitated, it seemed, over whether to use a firearm to control the situation, or other methods.

In the annals of Hathian insults, this probably was at a beginner level. It was however said with courage and conviction and since the woman shouting it was in the position of being thrown to the floor by Dune and having HPD officers armed at pointing tasers and such like at her, showed bravery (and possibly stupidity).
She also showed remarkable accuracy with her foot from a seating position and it was said that the ripple of crotch pain reverberated around all the men of Hathian (and all those watching Ms. Grosvenor’s livestream).
“Fucking Cunt Bitch!” – Dune after being kicked.
He also wasn’t winning insult prizes. But probably with testicles being read the riot (‘foot’) act and denied bail to descend back to his sack, he could be forgiven.
Why Filming Cops Needs Professionals
The Observer would not claim to be the ‘best’ at ensuring police interactions can be recorded with minimal risk to journalists (and officers) but we probably are better than the lone influencer. It was clear from the video that Ms. Grosvenor made enough of her presence felt to be noted by the officers and in our view, was lucky not to get involved ‘more’ in the scene.
But it seemed that wile our influencer dodged a baseball bat or baton that was not the case for the woman on the ground. Post crotch kick, the male officer discharged a taser, seemingly aimed centre-crotch (Hathian loves the crotch?!) into the small woman and the female officer went in with a baton blow.
The woman, now on the ground and providing no resistance as electricity pumped into her thigh (a centre crotch shot seemingly having missed) was beaten and from the video we can confidently say ‘brutality’ was at a level above what was needed to effect arrest of a now paralysed by taser criminal. Still, once this extra step was administered, and it could be argued this was ‘heat of the moment’ baton use, the woman was read her rights on the floor – something this newspaper has really not often seen.
Our investigations with the HPD confirmed that a Ms. Skylar was arrested for possession of a deadly weapon as well as assault on officers. After spending some time in jail, records show she was bailed.
