A local business owner stares out into the gritty, grey streets and laments over the slow decay of a once spirited city, rough-edged but raw and full of punch – now weighted down with the fear of an unknown giant who threatens the city itself to fall to its knees and surrender to this superior strength and undying power.
In the past few weeks, businesses have been struck with a tirade of attacks that range from graffiti to property damage, the power striking at opportune times and leaving a trail of destruction in its path. The citizens of Hathian are powerless to its actions, not quick nor savvy enough to outwit this tenacious tyrant.
When asked if it is indeed time to panic, a local onlooker stated: “Sure as hell! Retreat! Lock your doors, Hathian! There’s trouble a-brewin’!”
