After almost two months of having no clean water within the St. Bernard Parish, the governor of Louisiana has lifted the State of Emergency. After two weeks of working tirelessly to repair damage to the system and purifying the water, Officials have declared that the water is safe to drink and use once again!

A representative from CDC stated this morning during a press conference, “We would like to thank all of the citizens of St. Bernard for having patience during this hard time. Decontaminating the water was a difficult and grueling process, one that, God willing, will not happen again. Measures are being taken to improve security and protocols by your Mayor Nick Matfield and City Council. Again, thank you all and Happy Holidays!”
