FDH vs HPD: The Results

What was supposed to be a fun challenge to earn bragging rights, as well as helping those in need, ended up being a sobering reminder of the priorities in the city of Hathian.

The Battle of the Badges blood drive had a record low turn out. The winner by a landslide was the Fire Department of Hathian, with four votes to one for the Hathian Police Department. With only five pints of blood donated, which can still save the lives of up to 15 people, this means only five people took the time to actually donate.

“Glad to hear it,” says Chief Rog Messmer with a chuckle and smile after learning his team won the popularity contest. “But there was never a doubt we would win.”

Most expected the HPD to win, given the large numbers they constantly boast, but with only one person voting for them, it’s clear they didn’t use that to their advantage.

Though, the HPD aren’t the only ones to blame. The city as a whole failed to make an apparent effort when it came to donating blood, implying that the half hour it takes to donate was not worth saving a life. With the amount of crime in this city, the amount of violent attacks that occur on a seemingly daily basis, those five pints donated will be used up almost instantly.
