A body was discovered off the coast of Hathian late last week by a fisherman who caught it in his net; the remains were identified by her family as Cymbal Naomie Alton, 21 – a local resident. Affectionately termed ‘Cym’ by those who knew her, she worked as a waitress at Slim Goodies Diner and as a part-time clerk at Rader Records. Alton was born in San Diego, CA and moved to Hathian last year. She is survived by her half-brother, Quint McAuley, 24. The cause of death was deemed to be accidental drowning. A small graveside service will be held Sunday, November 27th at 4:00 pm (SLT) at the Hathian Cemetery.
