On the afternoon of November 11th, Rasken Dinzeo, police officer for the Hathian Police Department, was found dead in a room of the Master Bates Inn.
The deceased officer reportedly called 911, stating there was a suicide in the first room of the popular motel, which is located right beside the police station. What EMTs didn’t realize until they arrived was that he was phoning in to advise them of his own death.
Dinzeo’s body was found in the bathtub of one of the rooms, along with a toaster and an apparent suicide note.
The Observer was able to obtain a recording of the call, in which running water can be heard in the background before a loud, prominent splash and the sound of electricity, not for the faint of heart. This leads investigators to believe that the cause of death was electrocution, but the coroner has yet to confirm the speculation.
