After everything that Hathian has been through the last year– the gang fighting, the crime, the drugs, the violence, the Storm, the explosion–the employees of Slim’s have decided to bring some good old fashioned fun to the city.
This weekend, Slim Goodies Diner is celebrating all the good things about the 50s–the clothes, the hair,the dancing and of course, the FOOD! Starting Friday, June 3rd, Slim’s is gonna have meal specials all weekend long– like Mom’s Meatloaf, Gram’s Spaghetti, the ever popular ham dinner, chicken and biscuits, and of course, southern faves like ribs, gumbo, jambalaya, fried chicken and more! Oh, and did I mention the diner is offering 10% off your bill if you come dressed in the style of the 50s? Well I did now!
On Saturday, June 4th, the fun continues with a Sock Hop, Hathian style, from 6pm to 8pm (SLT). So, ladies throw on your poodle skirts and saddle shoes; and fellas, pull out those leather jackets and rolled jeans (and don’t forget the grease in the hair!). DJ Deteric Furyo of local radio station WKRK, the Disposal, will be broadcasting live and spinning some retro tunes to get everyone in the mood to groove.
So don’t be a square! Get on the horn to tell all your pals, and then burn rubber to Slim Goodies Diner for the ginchiest bash of the summer!
