In one of Hathian’s most dangerous lightning storms, a woman can call herself fortunate to survive. On the morning of June 24th, Valena Jensen was at the corner of Berther and Main when lightning struck her from above! She immediate fell dumbfounded to the ground.

“I was just confused,” Jensen shares, “I had no idea what the hell happened, but I started to panic as whoever the hell was with me called for… a cop; because then I noticed my leg. I dunno how bad the burn is, but it still hurts…”

Jensen was rushed to Hathian General with the assistance of the FDH and escort by the HPD. Doctors received prior warning to Jensen’s induction and were ready for her in the lobby. In a recent police statement, the civil service forces were all commended for their joint efforts in saving a life during the infamous storm.

She received treatment for a third degree burn on her leg and experienced moderate disorientation surrounding the event. After only a 24 hour visit, Jensen was released and is expected to make a full recovery.
