A former employee of the Hathian Police Department, Carole King, was arrested by HPD Detective Cade Morgan on July 16. King was charged with assault on a police officer, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and petit larceny. Also arrested was King’s companion, Chantilly Moore.
King, who was fired from the HPD on suspicion of theft just a few days ago, was spotted at Lou’s Bar by Detective Morgan, who stopped in to speak with her. Apparently, King had an issue with the questions posed by the detective since she began to scream at him, as did Moore. King threw a glass at Morgan and also tried to hit him with a pool stick.
While Morgan was attempting to restrain King, Moore punched him. The charges against her include assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, intoxication, and obstruction. Both women were given 66 hours of jail time.
When contacted in regards to this story, HPD Officer Porkins would only say, “We do not comment on active investigations.”
